Fabricating solutions


Holford Synergy has been privileged enough to have Barwell Spares and Services join as a member this giving the Synergy the added ability of fabrication processes. With investment in the latest laser cutting technologies, sheet metal, welding and fabrication techniques together with its skilled and highly motivated team we are currently in a situation where we trade and support our clients from various sectors from rail, security and the building trade as well as oil, gas and commercial projects. 

  • Arc Welding: Our arc welding processes are manual with the operations carried out by a fully skilled member of our team and an excellent choice for steel structures and vehicles.
  • Oxy acetylene: It is still widely used for welding pipes and tubes, as well as repair work. Oxy-fuel has an advantage over electric welding and cutting processes in situations where accessing electricity would present difficulties; it is more self-contained, in this sense — hence "more portable” and ideal for site work.
  • Metal inert gas (MIG) welding: The Synergy uses this process for its versatility in welding aluminium and other non-ferrous materials as well as mild steels. Ideal for in house manufacturing speedy welding process perfect for high production and long runs, making MIG welding an extremely cost effective option for our customers 
  • Tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) welding: Most commonly used to weld thin sections of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, magnesium, and copper alloys. The process grants our operators greater control over the weld allowing for stronger, higher quality welds. This is a slower welding process but delivers a very clean finish saving time after the operation has been completed
  • Spot Welding: Typically the sheets are in the 0.5 to 3 mm (0.020 to 0.118 in) thickness range. The process uses two shaped copper alloy electrodes to concentrate welding current into a small "spot" and to simultaneously clamp the sheets together. 

These methods of fabrication coupled with guillotines, CNC press brakes and modern laser cutting machinery not including our bespoke design software and multitude of RAL finishes gives Holford Synergy an extremely versatile fabrication arm, ensuring one phone call truly means unlimited solutions for all our clients.

Historical projects include gantries with built in safety systems for personnel, counter balanced walk ways, ballistic certified glass and surrounds and weather sheltering devices for the likes of auto glass.
